Recycle Week
This week is Recycle Week. Here at ADA Cosmetics International, sustainability is at the core of our brand. We aim to pursue environmentally sustainable practices and leave intact resources behind for future generations.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
We are proud to offer a variety of sustainable brands and dispenser solutions, that are 100% recyclable. Our range of eco-friendly hotel amenities include brands Eco Boutique, Naturals, FAIR CosmEthics, and our Think, Act & Live Responsible accessories line. More than 30 years ago, ADA developed the first dispenser system for hotels. Today we can offer our customers concepts that incorporate technological convenience along with economical and ecological benefits in one modern product design. This is where we make a difference.
HOW DO WE MAKE AN IMPACT?
The biodegradability of our ingredients and the recyclability of our packaging is what is important to us at ADA. Any of our products that end up in wastewater after use are optimised with regard to their biodegradability. Our product packaging consists mainly of PET, a material that is 100 percent recyclable. We are also increasingly using PCR (post-consumer resin), a material made of already recycled plastic which can also be fully recycled again after use.
We also work with and support Clean Conscience. Clean Conscience is a charity that assists UK hotels, restaurants, and offices to deal with challenging waste streams. Instead of unused ADA products going into landfills, they can be properly recycled, redistributed, and reused by Clean Conscience. To find out more click here.
ADA’S HOSPITALITY RECYCLING TIPS…
- Instead of half-empty bottles or products going into landfills, they can be properly recycled and reused. We advise you to team up with Clean Conscience, to make sure your waste is not unnecessarily harming the planet, but helping others.
- Donating is another way for your products to be reused. Remember, items beyond amenities can be donated, as well. Think conference goods, used furniture, food, and more.
- Introduce a user-friendly system, for both guests and housekeepers. Use labelled containers and visually unique bins for collecting recyclables.
- Encourage guests to get involved so that they can see that your hotel is practicing sustainably. Try placing recycle bins in guest rooms and ask for suggestions on how they think you could improve your recycling.
